Sigma Biotech is a private company that provides innovation services for companies throughout the agri-food chain. Currently located in Spain (Granada, Valencia, Vigo and Segovia) we act as an R & D department for our clients, being experts in achieving substantial improvements and obtaining different products for new niche markets, in a scientific, innovative and profitable way.

We are specialists in the design and development of new products, process research and innovative technologies that increase the productive quality of customers, as well as improve competitiveness and food safety through technological solutions, providing a great added value in this matter, as well as in technical and legal advice, useful life studies, R & D project management, among others, solving different technical needs of the food sector.

Our technical team is composed of Food Technologists, Laboratory Food Technicians, Nutritionists and Biologists who, together, accumulate more than 40 years of experience in the field of food and agriculture R + D + i, providing differentiation at all points of the chain of value. Thanks to this highly innovative character, since May 2015 we have the Young Innovative Company seal, being also registered in the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness as ‘Innovative SME’.


At the global level, the agri-food sector faces major challenges, amongst which the imminent increase in population and climate change. Food demand for this growing population must be met through a sustainable increase of agricultural production, adapting agricultural production systems to a changing climate, and from utilizing natural resources such as water and arable lands efficiently and respectfully.
Iden Biotechnology S.L. (IDEN) firmly believes in the positive role that biotechnology can play to provide the agricultural market with innovative and sustainable solutions, while satisfying the need for increased agricultural production.
IDEN is a young, knowledge-intensive company whose objective is to become an international benchmark in the agrobiotechnology sector. Currently, IDEN concentrates its activity in two main business sectors: the improvement of seeds and the development of new agrobiological products (biostimulants and biopesticides).


Plantae is an HaaS (Hardware as a Service) web platform that informs a professional user, in real time and anywhere, about plant and crop humidity, through a series of communication protocols of sensors and hubs with the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
The business objective is to collect humidity information with a system of sensors which is both easy-to-install and cost effective. The aim is to provide the end user pertinent information so they may optimize irrigation with the goal of saving water, fuel, displacement and time, and even improve crop productivity.


Stevia Del Condado was started in 2013 with the intention of building a vertically integrated system. Basing itself on five basic pillars: employment, health, innovation, taking advantage of natural resources, and sustainable development; Stevia Del Condado is able to provide solutions for problems that arise.
Some solutions we’ve provided:
• Reducing consumption of dangerous sugars for human beings.
• Innovating and developing products adaptable to people with certain diseases, like diabetes or celiac.
• Improving the health and quality of life with high-quality ecological products.
What differentiates us from other companies?
• Complete vertical integration, from production to commercialization: with this step the Stevia leaf is improved, its homogeneity and above all, the quality of the final product is consistent.
• Production is carried out with our own seeds: seeds that were adapted naturally to the Jaen land, and by extension, Andalusia.
• Ecological processing and packaging: certification in process.
• Absence of chemical compositions: there is not a single chemical component in any of the products with our seal.
Today we’re moving our product towards a demanding public goal committed to society, the environment, and quality. The whole integration process, including extraction of steviol glycosides, is done in Andalusia.
Among the countries that have shown interest, the most outstanding are: France, Germany, Holland, the UK, the US, Japan, and others.


With the growth of the world population (2000 million people now living in urban centers) the system of food production isn´t sustainable, in fact, nowadays in many cities it is very difficult or expensive to get quality vegetables
Urban vegetable gardens are in growth and each time there are more popular. According to the FAO, 800 million people are already developing agricultural activities in urban cities. The problem is that cultivation is not simple: it requires time, knowledge, and currently there isn´t technology that simplifies it. In addition, urban spaces are reduced in a way that current technologies lack the ability to maximize yield per square meter.
Niwa is a cloud platform made for mini-greenhouses and an app that automates and optimizes cultivation so that everyone can farm at home. Choose what you want to grow en the Niwa app and the greenhouse and the steps for growing it will be downloaded, and the app will then begin to monitor the conditions for growth.


In BOTANICA Company we are doing walls on which plants grow. We are developing clean farming systems, automatic and very easy to use for people with no knowledge of agriculture.
In order to bring this incredible user experience, the system consists of: a structure shaped vertical wall, seeds and everything necessary for the full development of the plant, a hydraulic installation monitored with controlled by a microcontroller connected to the Internet sensors ( IoT) and finally a mobile App as a user guide explaining in detail all the steps to cultivate each variety and resolve all problems that may arise.

Such application also monitors the data extracted by the sensors, it warns the user whether to add any of our accessories (light, heater …) or add water to the installation and finally allows the client to communicate with other users and access the online store to buy new systems or subscribe to regular deliveries of seedlings, seeds or other accessories.

Compared to traditional farming land, our walls growing significantly consume less water, reduce the likelihood of crop diseases, do not use pesticides or chemicals that are harmful to the environment and health and also can produce up to 4 times more in the same culture surface due to cultivation techniques using high performance.


EcoRegio is the economic community for regional organic food and replicates the German model of Regionalwert.Citizens invest with micro capital (shares from €100 to €5000) and receive a shareholder position; EcoRegion invests in ecological businesses along the entire value chain of organic food in the region – production, marketing, distribution enterprises and services. This network generates economic, social and environmental benefits for the region and all citizens.In Germany 700 people invested €4M in three EcoRegions.

Mission and Vision
The mission of an EcoRegion is the development of a social economy with focus on ecological food and empowering the local community by involving them with microcapital shares as business co-owners of the enterprises that feed them and to share the environmental, social and economic benefits the network generates.

Our vision is to have a network of EcoRegions with a social economy, where consumers, producers and distributors work together collaboratively. We want a future with only organic farming, ecological food and fair wages and prices.

The mission of EcoRegió S.L. is developing an EcoRegion in Catalonia. It also helps to implant, assist and coordinate MircoEcoRegions and new EcoRegions, develops the brand of EcoRegió in Spain and manages national projects.

EcoRegion International promotes the brand of EcoRegió and the concept of Regionalwert on an international level in English, assists at the implementation and coordination of EcoRegions worldwide, manages international projects and is creating an international advisory board for EcoRegions.



Based on the use of large prefabricated blocks of reinforced concrete with ecological cement (patent n P20140082-PCT), we design and create highly energy-efficient spaces for residential, office, industrial, farming and military use, among other possibilities. The technical characteristics of these prefabricated blocks enable us to bury them underground, using THE EARTH as the main natural insulation medium, with the addition of sustainable waterproofing materials. We are thus able to create any kind of bioclimatic space for any kind of use.This innovative project has several advantages over other methods of construction.
